Friends: 0 | Greg: Glad to know there is a prius mechanic owner in this neck of the woods. Bristol va/tn mechanic didn't kwnow how to get prius to roll when 12 volt was depleted or to open hatch door.I had to tow 2005 to autobeyours in Ind. to get it started.Wish I knew you were near Don |

My Car: 2003 Prius Model: Package: Base Thanks: 1

Friends: 0 | Just bought a pre-owned 2003 as my money could afford. 97,500 miles still with original traction battery warrantied for the next 2500 miles or 2 years (2500 miles for me). Any ideas on how I can make the battery die in less than 2.5K miles? (just kidding). Does have new tires (Michelin Hydro edge) and new aux 12V battery. The dealer I bought the car from (here in Charleston) quoted me only $1400 for a new battery pack and $600 for labor to install. From what I have read, that seems quite low. Are the prices on these that low now? Or were they just trying to get me to buy the car? Anyway, I do love the Prius and and a happy newbie even if I may be spending at least 2K in the next 50K miles for a new battery pack. |
