Man that Blue Ribbon model on the front page looks sharp!

Many of the comments seemed based on reality, I am impressed!

I haven't seen that many Prii as taxis - not even in Cambridge MA, where the make up 1 in every 20 cars (I've counted).

In Rockland, Maine, though, all the cabs are Prii - all 7 of them.

I'm very surprised at the comments and how positive they were. None of the "oh it's just a bigger Prius with poorer mileage, why would I want that" type responses. Toyota marketing knows their market ;).

Say it isn't so! The flying bridge is gone? ;)

And we finally get mileage figures. Do note that the Canadian mileage figures use the -old- EPA methods and are pretty much impossible to meet. So do some basic math to convert to real world numbers (using the "Prius hatchback" numbers they give compared to the current EPA numbers for example). They do give some actual numbers -they- saw to give you a look at reality.

It's a classic example of "figures lie and lairs figure".

Haha. Yeah the Prius v is a blend of the 2nd and 3rd gen Prius. There's even a hidden drawer/cupholder! (no not the pop-out one on the passenger side)

No they aren't. I was there last Saturday and I was disappointed to see an old Crown Vic or some such used as a cab. ;)

One cab company in Rockland does run a fleet of Priuses. It makes sense in a city that attracts a lot of high-income liberals in a state with high travel distances.
