Would this be a good deal? I don't use the interior lights a bunch but I travel in the dark a lot and would probably get some power savings from LED vs current config. or maybe I wouldn't what are thoughts?

Kind of spendy, doubt you would ever recoup the cost in fuel savings but hey...

I think half off and after adding a sub, I might find that the LED system might help against overpowering 12v battery, but I could be way off. $45 sounds about right for this kit.

$90 is very expensive for what I consider "cheapie" LEDs and a retrofit that the car wasn't engineered for. You could buy lights for all the same fixtures for $50 a la carte elsewhere, or even less.

There are some things I like about this package however. First, that's a lot of lights. Second those flat panel modules w/ dozens of diodes seem unique and very bright compared to what you'll find from other stores. Third you don't have to do your homework on which sizes each socket takes, not that that's difficult however. Therefore while I wouldn't call it a good deal, I think it's a fair deal depending on your priorities.

BTW - You'll probably never recoup a savings of $90 (or even less) in energy by switching to LEDs. Most people just do it for the looks and use the minimal energy savings as an excuse. ;)

You're not going to recoup the cost of the LED kit so even consider going to LED solely for getting better fuel economy.
$90 for a prebuilt kit with this amount of LEDs sounds about right. If you think this is expensive then you haven't built a high power interior light system and you don't know what you're talking about. I've built my interior lights for almost $100 and the 06 Sienna for just over $100.
This kit has most of my lights beat.
I used 3x 36 LED panels for my rear dome. That only adds up to 108 LEDs. This kit's rear dome light has 114 LEDs.
Due to the curve shape of the front map lights, I was only able to fit 2X 24 LEDs for each map light. That's only 48 LEDs compared to the kit's 60 LED per side.
I used 2x 12 LED for the vanity mirror for a total of 24 LEDs. This kit has 28 LEDs per vanity mirror.
I use 2x 12 LEDs for the door and the trunk for a total of 24 LEDs per light. This kit only uses 6 LEDs for the door and trunk.
I use the same 4 LEDs for the license plate as this kit.
This kit uses 1210 SMD LEDs. If I had to do mine all over again, I'd use densely packed 5050 SMD LEDs.
If you want a bright interior without assembling multiple LED panels, this would a good kit to buy at a fair price.
Please provide ebay links for 326 1210 SMD LED for $20

I'm on my way. I just added 2x48SMD LED panels to my rear dome light for $4. Rear plate (5xSMD bulbs), 2 for $2.

I just ordered 12SMD panels for $1.20 each for the map lights, and hopefully for the visor lights. If not, the door, visors, and trunk lamps will get replaced with 12SMD "bulbs" at $1.25 each.

If I add it all up, I'm looking at $19 for all the interior, plus the license plate bulbs, btu only 214 LEDs, plenty bright enough for this old guy.

That's not bad considering I'm past $50 and I don't have the vanity lights converted yet. The licence plate lights are also angled which is good.

I wouldn't trust those $20 kits from ebay. I bought a pair of 168/194 lights for the licence plate in 2007 for the 2005 Prius. They blew out within a year and they weren't that white. They had a hint of blue. The superbrightleds.com lights that I'm using are much closer to white (still in the cool white spectrum so a tad blue but not as blue as the cheap ebay ones). Aside from a defective pair of parking lights the first round, the rest are standing up even in ridiculously cold weather.

For the trunk, I went with a natural white LED from superbrightleds.com. It looks like a bright halogen bulb and a bit softer on the eyes.

I just ordered the 12 SMD LED panels today, so a couple weeks, I'll have them in. I should have the 12 SMD bulbs any day. All I have so far are good and white - not blue.

I'll be adding "blue" to the door panels once I find a local Volara foam supplier.

    First post!

I actually just finished installing this kit.

I actually cut the fat sticker in half and mounted it on the top. If you pull the wire back, it'll actually extend beyond what the tape is covering. Not too bad.

The issue I have is the vanity mirror lights. I can't seem to prop off the clear plastic off of the mount to slide the lights in. Too big

    P.S. I can't post pictures until after 5 posts...

YES YES YES YES..... that same exact thing happened to me. I have great news for you. you are sh!t out of luck.

how do I know that? I sent them an email with a video of them not fitting the day I got them and it went unanswered so I sent them another email and they finally replied weeks later with this...

"The wires on the map lights are long enough, but you just need to adjust which way the wire faces when you insert it in the housing. Instead of having the wires facing out from the top, peel back the adhesive covering the wires and move it to the side so it gives you more length to work with."

I was not happy with their reply. You can attempt this "solution" but they are still too short. So I smashed them with a baseball bat.

the easy fix is to not buy from them ever again. I sure won't. for what you pay for some cheap LEDs from china (what they are selling) you would think they might at least try to offer some better service.

I agree. You can convert your entire interior + License Plate & front Parking lights into white SMD LED for $20 but they are not going to be exactly like iJDM which is fine for some but not for others.

Here is what the kit looks like:

Well, most of the install went just like I would expect it to however just like alfa737 experienced, the front dome light LED wires are too short. I completely removed the 3M double sided tape to make sure that there wasn't more wire under it but there wasn't. I'm going to go back on Tue to see what they will say. Other than this small inconvenience, the kit looks really great & makes the inside look so much better. I've done all my cars with LEDs & always end up spending more than $100 for the swap, so if JDMToys can resolve this issue, its well worth the money. I will update on Tue after I have stopped by. I will also take pics tonight.
