A GUI offers graphical icons, and visual indicators, as opposed to text-based interfaces, typed command labels or text navigation to fully represent the information and actions available to a user. The actions are usually performed through direct manipulation of the graphical elements.

I cant post the link I can email you if interested

Totally agree. I do the same as you. I realize the Prius uses 2 drives and one can't expect them to always be seemless when switching to and fro between. This is why I don't floor it from a dead stop. I also start slow and then accelerate. I let EV get me rolling then let the ICE take over. Judging from the way Honda does it (and the CVT problems with their first gen), the Prius tranny is a work of art compared to them.

I know what they think. But someone has to guide them, right? As someone who works as an electronics technician (got my management degree and MBA just because the company paid for it) I sometimes have to find ways of shoreing up deficiencies when I see common failures. Now that I'm on my own I can beef up sub-standard circuitry and not have to fill out the paperwork (and step on said engineers toes at the same time). Lots of politics and egos involved when I was with Xerox. I once initiated a company wide retrofit from some design guys mistake. Cost less than a penny to rectify a problem when the guys above me were spending 6 digits on a pointless redesign of a part. They left off a thrust washer and tried to blame manufacturing.

Yes, then a BA from Auburn University and an MBA from Emory University with a cumulative GPA of 3.98. And a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Faulkner University, Jones Law School. Never took the bar. I make more at what I do in electronics than I ever would as an attorney.

So yes, Sage. I started out at a community college.

I am in love with the Garmin nuvi 2595 with LIFETIME maps and traffic that my dad got me for Christmas. I even named her.

No, she doesn't integrate directly into the car, but it'll work on any car. :) She anticipates well how and when to give directions and knows in real-time what traffic is ahead on your route, re-routing you dynamically if there is a faster route available. If there is significant traffic ahead, the traffic bubble will change from green to yellow or red depending on how severe the traffic is, along with an estimate of how many minutes the traffic will delay you.

We've used it to scout ahead for restaurants, hotels, and gas stations along the route. It has the phone numbers for these locations.

It also has other features that I haven't tried yet such as audiobooks. bluetooth connectivity, maintains your travel history, picture viewer, calculator, unit converter, trip planner, etc.
