Not sure which I like better... Probably would go with 18" w/ LRR tires like Michelins.

What color is your v? I have a couple other wheels picked out for you depending on your paint color. Also I would go +1 on the tire widths to avoid pot hole damage and curb rash on your new fine wheels.
    17x8 rim to a 235/45-17 tire
    18x8 rim to a 235/40-18 tire
    19x8 rim to a 235/35-19 tire

My paint is Silver. What other wheels do you recommend?

    Thank you.

Silver and white are the hardest colors to shop wheels for. What look are you going for? stock, mild custom, custom, racer, flash bling (chrome), big bling chrome, or donk.

What finish would you like? painted silver, machined, polished, chrome, black, or mix

Here are a quick three I pulled. I chose the blue stripe one because the big t toyota emblem on the front and rear of the v is blue.

Which is the lightest? Lighter wheels will improve your gas mileage and handling.

How much do the stock wheels weigh?

    Thank you.

Keep in mind that the wider you go with the tires the worse of a MPG loss you will observe even with LRR tires.

FWIW I have not had any pothole damage to my 17x7" wheels with 215/45/17 tires. I would go for a larger sidewall tire with less width if that is what I was worried about. e.g. Something like a 205/50/17 rather than a 215/45/17 or a 215/50/17 rather than a 225/45/17.

Fashion trumps comfort nine times out of ten. A stock 17" wheel and tire combo weighs about 45 lbs. If you want higher MPGs and good ride buy 16" wheels. If you want fashion go big. The nice thing about owning a Prius is it will get good MPGs no matter if you wear big fancy shoes or small practical shoes.

I respectfully disagree. I see curb rash all the time, if you are a hyper-miler you would go 16's anyway. I would not put a skinny tire on a fatter rim.

Mike you are spot on...Those Kazera KZ1 rims look amazing with the blue stripe!

Will the stock V 17" tires work with these rims? Thinking about a swap pre-delivery.

If you are a poor driver then I agree or at least buy a tire with a rim protector feature.

Ultimately I try to keep the sidewall flat with the wheel face. I am not a fan of the "wrapped" look but neither am I fan of a too wide tire that doesn't match the wheel.

The trick is finding a tire that allows you to use the wheel size you like without suffering too much of a mpg hit. Thankfully the v doesn't generally take such a large hit since it is only a plus 1 upsize.
