I washed all three vehicles this afternoon. Tonight I remembered that I also wanted to wash the Prius wheel covers and reinstall them for easier winter washing. Well, where else am I supposed to put them to await drying?

BTW, they were harder to get back on than off. Opposite sides kept popping off as I tapped them on. Needed to get out the rubber mallet.

If you washed them (properly).....they're CLEAN...right????
That means you can dry them anywhere you want to!!!

It's like the great towel debate.

    I take a shower.
I use a clean towel to dry my now clean body.
I hang the towel up to air dry.

Why then, do we need 12 color coordinated towels in the bathroom????

Don't even get me started on decorative hand towels.... ;)

Hope you don't get brake dust on your dishes.

I have a Gen II, I left mine in the dish rack....The wheel looks better with them off anyway!
Strangely enough I have gotten several positive comments on the wheels, I just smile! :D

As long as you are not doing them in conjunction with the dishes? I see no problem.

Infact? It seems to me to be a good idea. When I get new DMV stickers for my license plate? I'm anal enough to remove the license plate and clean it..and I admit I've used the dish drying rack...it's a rack for drying wet things? Where's the problem?

A former co-worker used to rebuild motorcycle engines as a hobby. When he got married, his new wife put her foot down and said he couldn't do it in the living room anymore. She also convinced him to sell his night & weekend towing business and not store impounded cars in their suburban back yard. The funny part is the guy wasn't a redneck. He grew up in Bloomfield Hills, MI, attended the best private schools, and lived in Birmingham, MI - both cities among the most affluent in metro Detroit. He went on to build and sell a number of high tech businesses in Michigan and Florida.

Better than using the oven to bake the seal on headlights... I got about a weeks worth of anger for that. But once you open them, you have to reseal them, so back in they went lol.

It's kind of difficult to air dry the 17" factory rim there so I don't have much to worry about.

My wife works every other Saturday.

As long as I have everything cleaned up before she gets home: What she doesn't know can't hurt me.

Jack stands and some bolts, not too bad. Just imagine the look on her face when you have 4 sets of wheels+tires on the countertop. :D
