    I got contacted today for free tickets to the Movie (premiering in San Diego Nov. 11) looks like it is going to be shown most everywhere gradually.

    I think the electric car that is really taking revenge right now is the Nissan Leaf. It seems like I see one every day (and no, it's not same one in the same color) :D

    The Portland Premiere of Revenge of the Electric Car is November 4th. Our local EV community is pulling out all the stops to support the premiere.

    1) We have sponsored free parking for EVs at the theater.
    2) We have a procession of EVs that will be driving in front of the theater.
    3) We have blocked off one of the streets next to the theater and will have an EV display there.

    Additionally, Chris Paine will be here and he will hold a Q&A session after the 7PM screening.

    Anything you can do promote the film and specifically the Portland event is much appreciated.

    LOL at the trailer. It's amazing how something so thoroughly UNexciting as a slow evolution of an automobile niche when overlaid with suspenseful music and hurried comments like "it's a race" combines to make it feel like an action flick about war.

    At least now consumers have the power to take revenge with their pocketbooks. How many Rav4EVs could be purchased 10 years ago, couple hundred?

    I saw it on Netflix yesterday. I am glad I didn't pay $12 to see it in the theater.

    In the meantime, Aussie motor journalists are trying hard to debunk the pros of other alternative cars compared to their V6/Euro trash, as per the following article...

    Could GM's electric car be killed again?

    I find the 3rd comment on that article interesting because the commentor challenged the doubter which car accelerate faster than a Prius but uses less petrol, but he had no answer!

    I did worse and paid ~$25 for the DVD!!

    My DVD of the movie arrived today and I watched it, with my wife, tonight. As someone with a keen interest in the subject matter and 'stars' of the movie I found it interesting and well made. If I didn't have that keen interest, however, I think I would have found it informative but boring. There was little tension, like in "Who Killed the Electric Car". It didn't really conclude--some optimism about the Leaf & Volt being on the road and Tesla opening the Model S plant. But all in all I'm not sure what the goal was or how I'm supposed to feel about EVs (at least the movie didn't lead me in one direction or another).

    I think this is a holding place for the next segment in, maybe 5 years..."Victory of the Electric Car".

    Bummer. WKTEC was pretty good. :( .... 'cept I recall they never made a guesstimate about what a Volt (edit, EV1) might actually cost to purchase. That's what many wanted, right? Continued production and to be able to purchase. Some price analysis would seem fitting, just saying. anyrate.
