    i have a 2012 prius v v with 4k miles.
    i just installed a enginer 4kw plug in kit.
    prius v v with 4kw phev kit -
    search youtube under 2012 prius v v phev.
    any comments appreciated.
    still some bugs that needs to be worked on

    Is it a good idea to install it before the warranty is over???
    I can guarantee you that Toyota would decline any warranty work if you showed up at a dealer with this thing installed.

    The Enginer Plug-in add-on kit has been on the market for three years now. We are at the sixth revision. For Prius V you can have 4KWH or 8KWH option. The difference is the range. The 4KWH system has 40 blended mile range. The 8KWH one has 80 blended mile range.

    It is available now and we have stock ready to ship.

    I just visited the enginer website and tried to see the installation video but I didn't see anything! Later I found out that when I used Chrome, after clicking the video link it looked like the site froze. Then I tried the IE and found out that the wmv file is 410 MB and took several minutes to download the 36 minutes clip which I watched with interest.

    I believe it's impossible. The Plug-In Prius is similar.
