I recently leased a Prius C III - basic amenities and silver color. The dealer had one on another lot, but apparently it was sold already. It now has been two weeks with no word on an arrival date. Should I expect better communication on this arrival date - or does the dealer really not know when they'll be able to get this car in? Not sure if I'm just being jerked around since I already put a down payment down?

Try calling some other dealers in your area and see if they can provide you with more accurate delivery dates.

They know. Talk to someone in Fleet or the Sales Manager. They can pull up what is allocated from the boat to their Regional make ready (Port), the schedules for prep, completion and delivery to each dealer in that region.

I know the exact dealerships your dealing with. These guys were such a pain. I just went to a Thompson Toyota in Doylestown and the experience was wonderful. But after talking to a couple of sales guys, they really won't jump for you to get you exactly what you want, even if its at another store, unless you put a deposit down.

you didnt lease anything lol what ever car they leased you sold before they could get it to you.

they dont have a clue when they will get one for you. i'd unwind the deal until you get a VIN # of a vehicle that can be sold

I put a refundable deposit ($500) and was promised 30-60 days. I asked many, many times if they could get it earlier. Then I looked around to see if other dealerships were available. Found one who could get me what I wanted in 1 week.

Cancelled the deal on the first one, but they did try to jump over backwards to find a car for me in the same time frame by trading, etc. Of course, I ignored them because at first they claimed I was being insincere by looking at other dealerships. Their behavior was disgusting.
