Is this something that a lot of you all use in your C? I have never even attempted to use it before because I have had Sirius XM for several years. Is there a good website that can educate someone about how best to use it? Thanks!

Just check out pandora.com it's an awesome service. I think it's better than xm if you don't want to listen to the same 20 songs over and over. The only problem I've had with it is that I don't have 4G and I usually don't have a strong enough data signal to run it.

Works great for me! You can make a free account at Pandora.com I stream it over Bluetooth and if you hook it up over USB it should work too with out having to use the Pandora app in entune. I did notice satellite radio plays the same songs over and over again and too many channels.

Yeah my XM now has a lot more commericals than it did when I originally got it in 2008 so I am excited about the Pandora but just didn't know much about it. Other than they say you can basically build your own radio station with the music you like! :) Thanks!

Okay, caveat with the Pandora app that is in the built-in Entunes system is it streams in low quality (sounds a little better than AM radio). Even if you set it in "high quality" mode, it sounds the same (I can't tell the difference).

If you stream it via Bluetooth from your phone, and you select your phone to stream in high quality, it sounds much better (probably around XM quality... Better than FM but not as good as a CD). But this is usually good enough for me. Unfortunately with this method, you have to use your cell phone to skip tracks or switch stations.

Pandora's great, and I hope Toyota fixes the audio quality issue in their app because I love being able to control Pandora with the radio and the steering wheel controls.

I don't use it much because it constantly pauses on high quality. Even with full 3G signal. Lower quality sounds like AM radio. I prefer to BT stream from my phone's Pandora app. Works much better.

Pandora's nice feature. I stream via my iPhone (I have tethering hot spot service from ATT so I can do that via the iPhone otherwise you have to plug the iPhone in to the car's USB.

Sound quality is good with good service connection.

Pandora's fun as it gives variety based on a guide you provide.

It can get confused. My "Jackson Browne" station quickly devolves to Motown tunes, I'm sure Jackson Browne would be amused and flattered.

My Gen II has an ipod connector kit and I listen to Pandora 90% of the time. Works great on ATT 3G and pretty good on edge. Pandora buffers a song ahead so you do not have to worry about losing service for a moment.

Crebble, are you able to stream high quality with the Prius C's built-in Entune? Even turning on high quality turned on, it sounds like it's still in low quality mode. I'm wondering if I'm not doing something right...

Yes, and there is a marked difference in quality. There is a setting in the Entune app on your Smartphone and also on the car app. Don't know if you need both or not. When in HQ though I get constant buffering. Seems to be better when Entune is in the foreground.

Okay so I downloaded Pandora onto my iPad and iPhone and i love it! Now if I could just figure out why it isn't working with the Entune.... *sigh*. It is telling me that it needs Internet connection. So any advice is appreciated. In the meantime, I will be trying to comb through the two inch thick audio system manual. It makes my eyes cross!

ok heres what you need to do.
you don't need entune running to do it.
i find the best thing to do is to just use Bluetooth it sounds good to me. just pick your station and when your in the car it may do it automatically or switch to the Pandora app. you can also use steering wheel controls to skip songs so you don't have it have your hands on ur phone as much. and i think u can do it through USB just make sure the radio is in "iPod" mode i guess you could say. then it will start playing music off your music collection. then switch to Pandora i think that's a way around it from not using entune. at-least for now. i def know the BTSA works let me know how the USB works.

Now I did get it to play via the Bluetooth as an iPod but it wouldn't switch over to the app for whatever reason. It just kept telling me I didn't have an Internet connection. Shame that you can't even utilize that app. Hey but I can listen to it now at least! Thx!

Your iPhone has to be hooked up via the USB port to work. You need to get an Entunes ID and Password and enter that into the spot on the Prius Setup for internet connection so the Prius has the Entune ID and PWD.

Then Pandora should be available as an App on the Prius screen.

You can spring for the iPhone tethering hotspot option from your phone service provider (usually another $30 but provides phone as Wifi/Bluetooth hotspot and extra data allowance). If you do that, then the iPhone works as internet connection via Bluetooth.

You do need to keep the iPhone plugged into the USB port even when Prius has the Entune ID and PWD.

I miss the direct connect to Pandora, rather than having to Bluetooth it in my Prius c4, but I guess they had to get rid of it for security issues with Pandora...
