For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to adjust the date on my new 3rd gen 2012 Prius 4. Have the navigation w/display audio (in other words, not the premium navigation)

The date showed 1.1.2011 on the first day we got the car

    Help, please!

How about the clock date on the dash display? You should be able to reset that which will change the radio as well, I would think. I changed mine from the steering wheel controls.

Here are the instructions from the owners manual:

    Press the “DISP†button until the
    “SETTINGS†screen appears.
    Calendar will be displayed.

While the vehicle is stopped, press and hold the “DISP†button
    until the screen changes.
The selected item will change each time the “DISP†button is
    pressed.

    Select “CALENDARâ€.
    Press and hold the “DISP†button
    to enter the setting mode.

Select the date by pressing the
    “DISP†or “TRIP†button.
Press and hold the button to
    change the date continuously.
If neither button is operated for
    approximately 5 seconds, the setting
    will be changed and the
screen will return to the previous
    display.

When the car is parked you can scroll through the display options by hitting display on the steering wheel. You'll see the date with "Settings (Press and Hold to change)" Or something like that, above it. Press and hold display. Calendar is listed as one of the display options.

We actually just did this last night.

I just got my Prius 3 yesterday. It took almost an hour to "prep" the car, or that's what the dealer said. So, why didn't they set the calendar for me when they have the expertise to do that and the instructions are SO obscure??? Who wrote that owner's manual anyway? It's TERRIBLE! I've been trying to set the calendar for over an hour and using the DISP button is ridiculous. Why can't the factory set the calendar, they know what day they built it???

Nobody above mentioned that the calendar scrolls by DAYS ONLY. So if you want to change from 1.1.2011 to the current date, you have to hold down the DISP button long enough for the calendar to scroll through all 365 days of 2011 before even getting to 2012; then continue holding until you get close to the month/day of 2012 that you want. I too believe that is something the dealer should set before he even puts the car up for sale.
