I took a closer look at the protector curve and noticed that the curve matched the front lip under the bumper, so I decided to install one there as seen below:

I only had to cut 2 little pieces off the ends to clear the grills and the slots to push into the vertical fin.

Looks pretty good, actually. I was thinking of painting that area black to imitate the hatchback this year. It gets a lot of chips from road debris, and my 2011 got scraped there from a tall parking lot curb.

    I like your idea.

Any update since you install the cover in the front?

When I park going forward into a slot with the cement block stopper, I am always very careful not to hit it. I found a couple chrome trims that will fit over the grill but haven't decided which two of the four horizon ones will be covered up. This is because I have to install the DRL first.
This protector is very thick and tough, so I hope it will last.

    Hi Tanasit,

I really like the idea, but looks like it needs more cut on the protection, could you pls share the detail how you did it.

    Thanks a lot,

First I trimmed the corners as seem below:

Next I partially insert the piece and marked the spots where the vertical fins line up. I used the heavy duty scissors to cut the slots about 1/2" deep and 1/8" wide where I marked earlier. I test fit and made sure that I could pushed the rubber piece all the way without having any of the upright fins get in the way. You can cut the slots a little deeper as long as they don't show when view from the top. Next I peeled of the red waxed tape from the double sided tape, held the rubber level and pushed it home before pressing it down. I secured the piece with the masking tape overnight. later I noticed that the ends weren't bent down to fit the curve of the lower bumper. I used the 3M plastic emblem glue by applying it with a Popsicle stick through the gaps. Again I taped the rubber down with the masking tape overnight.

    Good luck,

I had XPEL clear paint protection professionally installed on the entire front end of my C. My C came with the clear paint protection on the rear bumper from Toyota. The rubber mat just does not appeal to me on either end of the car. As long as your happy with it is all that counts. :)

    I also use the
Scotchgard 3M Clear Bra on the front everywhere but it is good only for light scratches but if you run over the curve or the cement parking dividers then this rubber piece will do a better job.

good for you transit :D , this should provide protection and piece of mind for you if you are prone to running over curbs and parking dividers.

Both fog lights and the license frame came from Toyota dealer. The fog light came with package 5.
