2013 Toyota Prius Persona Series - Black Cherry Pearl - Photos

    Here are some photos of the 2013 Prius Persona Series in the new (to Prius) Black Cherry Pearl color. In the photos you'll see some of the details that come with the Persona Series, including "chrome" touches (looks more like cheap paint if you ask me), the red-stitched SofTex seats, and the fancy 17" alloy wheels.

    I love that color so much I wish the Plug-in would have been offered in it as well.

    I really love the Black Cherry Pear also. They could have done more to separate it from the regular Pri line. Darker color Five wheels were an easy way out.

    Looking at the photos it doesn't seem to have heated seats. I am not sure I would go with SofTex with no heated seats. The painted darker interior pieces doesn't do anything.

    Unless you really want the Black Cherry Pearl, get a Three and some Five wheels and leather with heated seats. Or just spring for the Four.

    Those rims remind me of Venza wheels. I like the approach, but the color isn't for me.

    You're correct - there are no heated seats in this edition.

    I would have bought this in a heartbeat if this had been offered as part of the 2010 lineup. I nearly bought a red 2010 but I just didn't like the red color offered.

    I think it looks nice. Now someone needs to buy one of those and make into a Plus Performance Persona :D

    Don't like the rims. About the color, by the small pictures, don't like it. I rather have a darker burgundy color that this brilliant one

    I hate the color. Most of the time it looks like a flat shade of purple.

    I don't like chrome accents, especially with anthracite? wheels.

    I like the seats.

    I like the wheels.

    :)

    In another color I would have bought it instead of my Three with Solar roof. It is basically what my girlfriend wants. 17s and leather for a decent price. LOL

    Is it really just a Five without heated seats? . . . and in a different color?

    I'm with exbauer in that I think they should have done something different with the wheels instead of just taking the wheels from the Five. And no heated seats? Is this a Cali car or will it be available anywhere/everywhere?

    Edit: And it they really want to make a statement, then take out the flying bridge and open up the interior. Move the buttons to the center console and make the cup holders and storage area more accessible. And add heated seats with sensibly-placed switches.

    And, yes, I like the color -- or so I think. No way of knowing without actually seeing it in person. (Send me a plane ticket and I'll give you an evaluation.)

    That is the color I was hoping to get when I bought my 2010! Second fav color was the Sandy Beach, so that's what I got. SO jealous to see it's coming out now in that color! :(

    Remember that the Persona Series is also going to be available in Blizzard Pearl and Black.

    I'm not big on the Black Cherry color, either, but at least Toyota's trying something different to keep the lineup interesting.

    In my opinion, this Persona Secial Edition is lame. At least in the Prius Plus+ they had a body kit, lowering springs and many respectable parts. I'm not into shiny doodads and colorful objects. It just doesn't really justify the price. But, I do like the direction that Toyota is headed in regards to having more "special edition" vehicles in the future.

    They've been available for several years now. Very expensive, as I recall, and you may find a less expensive (and lighter) alternative elsewhere.

    Don't get me wrong: I like the wheels. Even so, I've seen many other looks I prefer.

    I like the color but it just doesn't look right on that car. Maybe if the wheels were different?
