There's a pretty big thread going over in the PriusChat Forums regarding the announcement of the Nissan Leaf EV. We won't go into too much, but will give the general overview:
- 100% Electric. No gas engine at all unlike the Prius and Volt PHEVs
- 100 mile range on one charge.
- Quick charge capability: can charge 80% of battery in 30 minutes.
- Full charge takes 8 hours.
Nissan has yet to announce a specific price, on-sale date, or anticipated production levels for the Leaf, which will be built at several factories worldwide, including in Tennessee.
