I've been a Priuschat nut since I got my wife her 06 Prius. I didn't know there was such a following to these cars. I'm a former VW junky, turned Honda trader, then fell in love with the Prius. My wife's prius has 235K miles on it. It drives like a champ! After driving hers for a trip to work (170 miles one way) I loved the savings. So I bought my 2007 blue Prius, then another 2007 Grey Prius. I sold the blue one because it had less miles and was worth more.

I've decided to keep my Grey Prius so I started to mod her a bit. It's got the Coastal EV mod, a stiffening plate, some 16's that will eventually get put on, and am looking to do a few more things. Probably a DIY projector headlight type kit, window tint, sway bars, and who knows what else. I'm always looking for ideas.

Here are some pictures of my rides.

I love it :) Gray is the best color in my opinion and it looks great with the black emblems. I am hoping to get an AimGain kit sometime soon, have you checked those out?

Good job on the restoration - what's going on with the mismatched wheels? Can't say I'm feeling those fronts.

Did Aimgain ever make a bodykit for the Gen2?

The mismatched wheels were winter tires in the front. Michigan had an insane winter, and the prius kinda sucks in the snow. Next year I'll have matching winter tires all around. This year it just wasn't in the budget yet. Right now it's all stock rims, but looking to get my BBS RXII's on there in a month or so.

I live in Ann Arbor. It wasn't that bad - we had that one snowstorm mid-January which dumped snow like crazy and everything shut down but it was a pretty typical winter otherwise.

I've got the same color 2008 Prius.
What did you use to tint your backlights?
Is it a film? What %?

I had to repainted the front of the car, so in the process I removed the taillights, lightly sanded them and painted them too. I kind of just eyeballed how much color I wanted on them and then clear coated the lights so they shine again. They are the exact same color as the car now

I was offered 'light' or 'dark' vinyl tint - I ended up wrapping them twice with the light tint. Once just up at the top to blend in the back window, then a second time, the entire taillight. Have no idea of the %...

Just put a toyota Matrix / Vibe rear sway bar on. What a difference in the feel of the car. It just feels more solid on the road. Easy mod too. I got he sway bar for $35 from the junk yard. Just got to find one more for my wife's car. And got her tinted with so high quality stuff. Solar Guard CTX tint.
