Voltage stabilizers?

    I've been reading the claims on these things. Increase in mpg? Increase in torque? As a 30+ year schooled electronics guy, I could maybe see it keeping the lights from dimming when those 1000 watt (insert eye roll here) subs kick in but I can do that with by beefing up the am

    It's in the same class as the electrical superchargers that they try to sell.

    That's what I was thinking. Regulating a power supply isn't rocket science or all that costly. Certainly not a place on a hybrid vehicle to shave off a few bucks in production costs.

    More "snake oil" devices for those who are gullible.

    The need for a "voltage stabilizer" pretty much disappeared along with the generators and mechanical voltage regulators. Things got even better with hybrids that make their 12 V by "stepping down" the HV battery.
