Loving this new car. Using a key again is taking some getting used to. Keep leaving it in the car when I get out. Getting tint put on next wednesday. Got the car in absolute red. The new car smell is already dissipating. Real shame....

Ya, for an economy car thats gets 50+ mpg, it's a real sharp looking car. Some window tint and an exhaust tip and it's a real beauty.

Can you please share more about your experience? Is the ride better than your 2006 ? Is it faster? Is it noisier? Is interior annoying? Anything else you have noticed?

    Thanks,
    - Alex

The engine shut off and on again is much smoother in the C than the 2006 liftback. Its seamless in the C, as it very well maybe in the new prius liftback though for all I know. The ride is not as smooth as my 2006 liftback. It is slightly slower than the 2006. I like the interior finish better in the C, but there are a lot less hiding places. Handling is much better in the C. Turning radius and response is much improved in the C. The spare tire has a styrofoam block that covers the spare instead of a storage bin. That sucks and there is no apparent remedy short of fabricating some plywood and adding supports. The car is 4000 bucks cheaper than the liftback, and that helps a lot. It gets better gas mileage than the liftback. I get 53 in the city and about 49 highway. Average 51 all around. Averaged about 45.8 in my liftback.

  8. I had a dream last night that I made a U-turn with a turning radius the size of my desk

I definitely like the interior more. Compared to the "regular" hybrid I like where the gear shift is located, I like the roomy seats, they look sharper...though I definitely could use a Nalgene-sized cup holder.

Yes, the cupholders are lacking in their design. The door storage is also underwhelming.
