    To answer both your questions:

    1) No - It does not speak street names - But I knew that up front and that was one of the reasons I chose it over the FlyAudio Unit...

    I have both a Garmin and A TomTom Nav unit, and the one thing I hated about the Garmin was that it did speak the steet names... I know I'm a little odd... but I am glad that the OttoNav does not, and I do not want it to do so...

    The Other thing I will be looking at is upgrading to the next software release... I will come back at a later date and let you know how that goes...

    2) Yes - I just tried it - The Center Aux socket is still active - All you do it click on the menu, then AUX and it plays perfectly - Actually sounds just as good as when the IPOD was on the IPOD cable and interface program...

    Is it the hardware or the software? Would using something other then included Route 66 navigation speak street names.

    Do they improve Music player to recognize folders? My unit (not Ottonavi, but the almost same GUI) doesnt. It displays all music files in one column, which is hard to navigate in case of huge USB collection of MP3 files.

    Very nice, neat and clean install. Exactly how I would want to do mine as well. After going through all the threads for an OEM look HU, I too think the Ottonavi HU is an excellent choice. It doesn't have weird label like "Open" button for Eject like the Flyaudio version, has few buttons on the side (again for that neat clean look), A2DP, buttons light up green, UI looks better than the others IMO, at $650 it is a reasonable price point and many other great functions and features.

    The only small pet peeve I have with this unit is after looking at yours and other installs, it consistently appears the lower right corner does not sit flat flush and there seems to be abit more gap in the upper left corner than desire...Not a big deal or a deal breaker of course (just loose production tolerance i suppose).

    Thank you for the comments on my Install – I always try to make everything appear as if it came from the factory, hence why it took me 1.5 days to do everything from beginning to end…

    Now – Onto the problem about the fitment of the lower left corner… The problem turns out not to the mounting of the unit itself, but an out of tolerance spec on the right lower hole where the factory trim panel snaps into…

    Due to a fan that would shriek when it was below freezing outside, and a problem with locking up from time to time, OttoNavi sent me a replacement G2 Unit for my original unit… it arrived, and I did the install on Thursday past…

    Before I installed the new unit, I tried installing the trim panel with the new unit on my work bench, and sure enough there was still a gap at the bottom right where the panel would not bottom out and snap in completely…

    It turns out that due to the right corner of the mounting hole being out of spec, the lower right mounting finger (for lack of a better word) was not seating completely… If you flip over the portion of the factory trim that goes around the radio and houses the km/mph button, you will see that it is held onto the dash and radio unit by multiple plastic fingers… flip over the trim piece, making sure that you are looking at the finger that would be on the bottom right with the plate facing the correct way, and you will notice that there are shoulders on the right and left of the finger/tab..

    Using a Dremel Tool with a flat sanding disk, I took about 1.0-1.5 mm off of each of the shoulders… this allowed the face plate to properly bottom out against the radio housing, and the problem is solved…

    If you are going to try this for yourself, pull the unit back out and do this grinding at a bench… Please be warned while this solved the issue for me, every car is different, and even though parts are made from the same molds, those molds wear out as time goes by and tolerances change… So this may not solve the issue for you…

    I hope this helps other people out, and I will post a picture later of the new unit and how it fits…

    try adjusting the brackets.

    when you transfer over the mounting bracket from stock unit to new unit...before screwing it down adjust the bracket so that you want the unit to stick forward and the bracket moved back further. This will push the unit a lil bit out and should become flush with the panel.

    to fix the top left corner gap that a lot of people are having. I tape a washer behind to where the bracket nut hole is at, push the unit in and screw in the nut.

    those two should make your new unit flush in pretty good.

    I just realize now after looking at the many different angles that the top gap as some you have said can be align perfectly but only when you're bolting down the HU, and the lower right corner not sitting flush is actually just the angle of how you look it...ie from the driver's side on the same level of the steering wheel it looks like not flush but from all the other angles, it's fine. I could be wrong but still think it's a fantastic system for the price.

    So in my case, the unit clipped perfectly on the four teeth but it wasn't flushed at all in the end. Meaning if you pass your thumb between the unit and the trim you would feel a gap or depression.

    Now to fix this, I actually put 3 washers; one behind each brackets hole; except the top right corner. Then only the top 2 teeth would clip but after bolting up everything, now the unit is perfectly flushed.
    You also have to dremmel a bit the bottom right shoulder of the trim (as one poster said) because otherwise the trim doesn't fit on the unit anyway...

    I guess it may depend on your unit or car too...

    I installed the microphone in the map light dome as well. Tried making a few calls and all said that the sound quality is terrible. So I took the mic out and tried speaking directly to the mic, got reports that SQ was better but still lots of noise etc. Is the standard Ottonavi microphone really so terrible? Did your install work out ok? Maybe I should get a replacement microphone from somewhere.

    How is the mic quality? Was the wire long enough? Does the unit come wit Sirius XM?
