Outside temperature setting has been on the money - of course our temps here tend toward the mid to high 80s. Last few days hovering around 90 according to local news and my Prius has been showing exactly the same.

As for mileage - I use Fuelly and well satisfied with my MPGs.

As Bill Springer says: "Trade yours in...so we can buy them". I could use another Prius to replace my old faithful but gas guzzling '97 Prizm.

    YMMV...:)

The first thing I did was test out the MPG and so far I have my Prius C for 5 months and the MPG gauge is dead on everytime. I am anal when it comes to checking things like that out and I'm impressed that it has always been right every single time. Maybe some of you folks have a defective gauge, bring it back to the dealer and maybe they can recalibrate it

I have a 2014 Avalon. Same story with it. You get the MPG that you get and I agree with you, forget it. Better to worry about something that you can do something about.

There's been a fair number of reports here that the Prius c and v more accurately report mpg. OTOH, my 2010 hatchback is consistently inaccurate, optimistic by around 8%. This is fairly typical hatchback owner experience: not defective gauge, it's "by design", lol.
