Eco Friendly Leather Seats

    Who out there has this on their Prius C? I have a 2013 Two with "Eco Friendly Leather" seating.
    These are genuine leather, correct? I mean they are not the "Sof Tex" leather substitute like in the Prius C Four?

    Must be aftermarket.

    The only seating, other than cloth, is the SofTex in a model 4 package from the factory.

    Hmmm. I don't think so. The Eco Friendly Leather option is shown on the original factory window sticker as a $699 option; not an added on dealer sticker, the original Toyota factory sticker.

    Squirrelly, wheat country are you located in. Side comment: how can leather be "eco-friendly".

    USA. It is what they call it. It has to do with the lack of chemical pollutants used in processing the leather. It is "vegetable tanned leather" according to the hang tag that was on the drivers seat when I bought it.

    Correction to my earlier post...the Eco Friendly leather option, code LAEF9 on the sticker is $1599, not $699...the $699 was for the TOYOGUARD Plus package nonsense.

    I bet Squirrelly is in the Toyota Southeast franchise area, where the dealers add all kinds of overpriced options (many of them not optional).

    True that ^^^^^^^^

    I think I have it figured out. The cars come into port at Jacksonville, FL from Toyota Manufacturing in Japan, and then Toyota Southeast Distributors LLC install additional options to the cars such as the leather seats, floor mats, door edge guards, "paint sealant" etc, take digital photos of the car for the Toyota website, then slap the final window sticker on and ship the car to the dealer. The hang tag on the seat shows that the leather seating company is located in Florida as well, so that makes sense. They do a great job though, because the leather seating looks 100% factory done. It's a better quality leather, finish and fit than Infiniti's, Mustang's, and a 2013 Nissan Rogue (my wife's car) that I have owned.

    We did aftermarket heated leather, through our dealer, 1175.00. Well worth it in our thinking. Even did the door arm rests and added padding to seats, all four of them.

    There are Toyota only options, Regional options/add-ons and Dealer options/add-ons. Toyota's are set in stone, the other 2 vary greatly.

    Yeah, mine was the Regional add-on by Southeast Toyota Distributors, it was not done by the dealer

    I'm glad I don't have heated seats. It always feels itchy down there when I use them.
