    Hybrid Highway: Trial-blazing cabbie

Way more than I can post, a fascinating story about a Prius trailblazing cabbie:

An excellent read and great story about an early, Prius adopter.

I didn't know that the car made it to 1.5 million Km. So close to a million miles!

I didn't realize that was such a big thing up there. But congratulatons!
At L.A.X. they began using Gen II Prius as cabs in 2004 ( then again maybe that's just the first time I noticed them there as we got our first Prius in 2004) . I'd guess the Prius cab ratio there now is nearing 50% . . . . many are Prius V's too. I suspect some airport cab zones may add L2 spots for PiP's (in the handful of states that Toyota allows them to be sole) next.

I remember Andrew Grant. Good to know his Gen2 made it to 1.5 million kilometer miles.

Next time someone asks how long the battery lasts I'll have to tell them I'm not sure that they'll get 1,000,000 miles! :D

My one experience being in a Prius cab, the guy drove like it was stolen. Not sure how typical that would be.

Saw a few Prius cabs in the Baltics recently. Mostly v's. Not a lot of private Priuses there though. Nor Toyotas in general.
