Can we use a switchback type turn/DRL LED with our v's?

Just a note: If you turn your headlights on and NEVER* turn them off, they will actually go out either 0, 30, 60, or 90 seconds after you turn off the car and open the driver's door**. The delay is user selectable. So you never need to wonder if they are on. The light sensor on the passengers side dash adjusts the instrument lighting automagically.

*About every 5 thousand miles I have to turn my headlights back on, as my mechanic always turns them off 'for me'.

**Those of you who exit your car without opening the driver's door will not find this as convenient as I do.

I'm deciding between switching to and rigging 2100lm 5k white H11 LED fogs as DRLs (making them always on fogs) or trying the Triton V3 switchback amber LED turn and DRL.

Note that the stock turn signal has the bulb positioned "side way" which works fine for the incandescent "turning" signal.
But for the DRL, you'd want the beam to project straight off the front for most beam intensity. That's why I chose to drill the holes to position the bulb to point forward but I also kept the stock side-way one with the LED bulb of course.
My Philips DRL even comes with either front mount (15 degree) or corner mount (30 degree) with less brightness.

Understood. Depends on the housing's reflector performance and beam spread of the LED in question.

A projector LED would not be ideal, but an omni-directional LED would be fine.
