So I am trying to find the best way to go to work, weather it me highway or though the city gas millage wise. I started out this morning, after resetting the trip meters, and fuel consumption readings. I got to my destination, put the car in park, and you would think it would then give me a reading on what my average MPG was for the trip. It did not. Because I want to log that reading and take a different route home. When does the system to me what my MPG for the trip?

The CONS displayed on the dash under the HSI is your trip average from when you reset it to present. Average speed is displayed as well.

That is under 1-minute interval fuel consumption. I'm talking about history in either Trip A or B

The CONS and MPH at the bottom of the screen are averages for Trip A or B until reset, not 1 minute averages. I typically use Trip A for tank averages and reset at each fillup. I will use Trip B for short trips such as you are describing, record and then reset for the next short trip.

You're looking at the nav screen, right?

Yes, I just hit the display button on the steering wheel to bring up Fuel Consumption History, then you can toggle between history A or B. But after a trip and stopping, it doesn't show the trip info. I reset it at the beginning of my trip.

That screen you're looking at won't the display trip info you're looking for. It's not available there. You can force a 5 minute trip report by depressing and holding the DISP button while on the 1 minute screen.

So have done several tanks of gas now and changed between driving in regular mode vs eco mode. It's not much, but does make a difference. Lowest millage 46 MPG and high as 52 MPG. I have not been using the dash board figures, the eco mode to get the best MPG. I have been just keeping track of the millage on the odometer and the gallons used to fill it up and then doing them math. so for now I am staying in the eco mode get my best MPG.

With the ending display (comes on after power off for 30 secs) is the MPG shown only from the time the power was last turned on? So there would be a discrepancy in this MPG and the trip Bs? Mine is way different. Trip B today was 22 miles= 54.3. Ending display showed 64.2?

I have been driving mine in ECO mode for almost all its life. Economy about 10% better as the handbook says and finer control of the accelerator when in EV mode.
