I see some older posts for how much people paid for their Prius C.
I'm hoping I can get an idea what to pay now for a TWO. Do Toyota
dealers negotiate at all? I'm on Long Island, NY
    thanks much

I believe it was 18,300 - with mats and 0%. Most will try to not negotiate, at least around here. They swore they'd meet the dealer I bought from's offer, but when I presented it in writing then said no way.
I flew from KY to Kansas and drove it home. At the time they weren't offering 0%, but this dealer did, and I got the car about 2k below where the local dealers wanted to be...
Check Diane in CA's pricing thread, use it as a negotiation tool.
    Good luck.

I haven't talked price yet. Went to my local dealer just to get more details about the car and only
checked the sticker prices. I was very impressed with the C when I saw it at this years New York Auto Show.

Please get a good price. I'd hate to see anyone getting ripped off. I'd recommend E-mailing all the dealers in your area asking for their lowest OTD price on the Prius C trim that you want. They'll want to have you in the dealer before you talk price, but if your stern you can set a firm price before hand. Always drive it before you buy however!!

i used carwoo to get started, i eventually had 3 dealers on the same email thread.

don't bother asking for a quote unless it's an out the door quote. i made the salesman email me the exact breakdown so i could make sure every charge/tax amount was legit.

bless their hearts, they'll keep trying to get you to come in and see the car - you know the car you want, there is not one good reason to go see it until you agree on a price.

I got the last 2013 Prius C3 off the lot for an amazing $16,745, but that's because I traded them a BMW M. ;)

The lowest rate I could get on a 2014 Prius C2 without a trade was $19,100 out the door.

I recommend to anybody shopping to look for dealers who are trying to rid themselves of 2013 models... it's basically the same darn car as the 2014 and will save you thousands.

Just picked up a shiny red '14 c4 last night for the wife's dd. 21,700 on the car and 22,054 OTD with DMV/plate/title fees. 15" alloys, mats and that's about it I think.

Looking forward to poking around the newblet threads and learning more about the new rig.

I highly…HIGHLY…recommend the USAA Car Buying service (for used and new cars). Obviously you have to be a USAA member (for US Military & their families), but the Car Buying Service lists the dealership closest to you based on ZIP Code, and the price for the car with the desired package as the walk-out-the-door price. In theory, you can take the app into the dealership listed & they will sell you the car at the price shown, no questions asked. USAA guarantees this.

When I bought my Prius C 2 a year ago, I did a variation of this; the closest dealership wasn't conveniently located, so I took the app to a different dealership closer to us to see if they'd honor the USAA program and price. They did; and further discounted almost $1,000 US more BELOW the USAA price. Was a big WIN.

Used USAA to get my wife's '13 Corolla as well, same deal; another dealership closer to us beat the USAA price & made a sale. USAA offers financing too if you don't get 0% or a rate to your liking from the dealer…not to mention a bunch more benefits if you go thru USAA.

this is what i had the guy email me, i shopped his otd price to every dealer in southern california. only 2 would match it, only 1 of them offered free car washes for the life of the car but they were not close to my home or office.

i found it interesting that several of the dealers told me straight up: "i know i will sell this car for more than $20,400. there is no reason for me to match that price."
