Hey Folks. Does anyone know how I can disable the seatbelt beep on my 2010? I have OBDII scanner and enginelink but I cant find any PIDs about seatbelts.

And before anyone says it's dangerous, Im doing this for two reasons

    1) I drive around a lot at about 15 MPH. That's why I got the 2010 with EV mode. And I dont always want to click on my seatbelt.
    2) I load things in my front passenger seat which triggers it all the time.

    Thanks for the help.

You need to use a scanguage not an obd-II. There are a few how to videos on YouTube. The most helpfully how to video i found was from a guy working on his diesel truck.

You can use the attached PID. In case you want to disable the reverse beep too I've attached that PID as well. I didn't disable my seatbelt but did disabled my reverse beep. Also disclaimer I have a PiP, but I don't think it's any different.

I used the instructions here to change the beeping to a single beep.

Would it be smarter to just disconnect the sensor in the passenger seat that triggers the alarm? I'd not recommend you drive without your seat belt...period.

    +1

The worst injuries are often caused by ANOTHER vehicle........and you can get thrown around pretty bad just at 15 MPH......AND the air bags can actually make matters WORSE without the seat belt in use.

So, I too encourage you to use your seat belt EVERY time you move the car more than 50 feet or so.
What happens on the passenger side if you latch the belt with nobody in the seat ??

Very good idea. I've known people to do that on the driver's side to avoid the buzzer.
