I have a 2004 Prius. One of my HID head lights are turning purple. Does that mean its about to burn out?

Also if it does burn out what is the cheapest way for me to replace it? Where should I order the bulb or go purchase it?

Also any tips on how to install it myself?

    Thanks in advance

For mine, when they went out they started to flicker, even turning off eventually. Cycling the headlights on and off would bring them back temporarily. I don't remember a color change.

If they are going out, get the proper Phillips D4R HID bulbs, Amazon usually has a good price, and then follow this thread at Wikihow to change it. There may be similar threads here, I don't know, I used the Wikihow post. The official procedure for changing the bulb involves removing the bumper, but I was able to do it without doing so by following that post.
