    Hello all.

I understand Prius c vs Prius vs Prius v. I also understand basically that the features go something like:
    Prius 1 < Prius 2 < Prius 3 < Prius 4 etc.

What I don't get is that If I look at several dealers in my area, even at the same dealer, they may have 2 different 2014 Prius 2 at different prices with the only difference being color.

So, are all Prius 2 created equal, or are there options? When I go to the toyota website, it doesn't really offer any "options" other than 17" wheels for $500.00

Same question for Prius 3, 4, etc...

It seems it may be worth my time to drive 200 miles to Texas to save $2000+ on a Prius 2, but not if it's cheaper because it offers less amenities.

Blizzard pearl costs more than the other colors, that could make the white aka blizzard pearl more. I think nowadays it's something like $395 more...

Accessories (dealer or port installed) could also make a specific two (or even three, four and five) more than another.

Once you get into a three, four and five there are packages which will make some cost more less than others.

There are Port installed extras and dealer installed extras - both should be detailed on the additional window sticker. Common add-ons are floor mats and rear bumper protection decals that keep you from scratching the TOP of the bumper when loading/unloading. The dealer is free to add may useless junk like paint protection, window etching etc.

I don't know if where your located - but, the South-east region is not run by Toyota and has a large number of port options designed to raise the base price.

So in general a TWO should be basically identical and priced within $200 of each other. A Three gets you a better radio, back-up camera and the option of navigation. So threes, fours and fives can greatly differ in price with-in the model number.

OK, That helps. SO a $2k+ disparity between one 2 and another 2 is either a LOT of dealer added crap, or one dealer is trying to eat steak while the other is satisfied with hamburger helper :)

I want Barcelona Red all things being considered, but am letting price drive my choice.

Thank you for the responses, will post a picture once I find my car.

And per my forum name Dave N ok(lahoma)

    Best Regards

One thing I like to do is go to CarMax.com and in Laurel MD and a few other places they have new Toyotas.
Never bought one there but it's a good website to look prices and what's on the car.
