    Hi everyone,

I have a 2010 Prius and recently the passenger front lock hasn't been locking when I use the remote. I can see the lock trying to close, but then it remains unlocked. I can lock it using the inside lock button on the driver's side door. Am thinking it might be a synching issue with the remote...or someone tried to break into the car and messed up the lock. Anyway, does anyone have any advice? It sucks because I can't use the remote to lock the car and I have to use the door locks on the inside of the car once I put it in park.

    Thanks!

You may get more help if the question is not in the Prius v forum. Each model of the Prius has a set of sub-forums.

Even though you are in the wrong forum I will try to answer and let a moderator move this thread to the correct forum.

Does the passenger door lock work the same with both keys? Have you replaced the battery in your remote ? If it is the original it is a good chance it is the battery.

welcome to priuschat! could be a bad actuator, or even a simple loose connection to the mechanism. either way, you'll have to pull the door panel. all the best!
