Here's a pic that shows the difference between the mounting tabs on the H9/H11 bulbs:

The tab on the H9 at the 12 o'clock position needs to be trimmed a little on the 11 o'clock side by a few millimeters so it will fit into the headlight housing. This can be done with a rotary tool with a grinding attachment, a pair of small tin snips, or a small metal file, etc.

    Thanks. What a pain though.

Seriously? It is taking you more time to post in this thread and create other threads in this forum than it would take to modify and install the H9 bulbs.

Not really. I've read posts from folks that said it took them 30 minutes of hassle each bulb.

If you lived close to me, I'd do the conversion in front of you in about 5 minutes, both bulbs. Installing them afterwards, now that's the PITA part, especially the passenger side. :D

Pretty funny since in another thread, you posted about issues/concerns with it:

No issues, just noted that the H11 bulbs were brighter and the wire gauge looked thicker in the Prius than the Camry.

The H9 upgrade has definitely been great on the Camry. I was just thinking out loud that there might be room for a little improvement by upgrading the wiring supplying the lowbeam lights using a harness on the Camry. Thicker wires may pass more current, equals more light.

But I reiterate, the H9 upgrade has given me a noticeable improvement over the Sylvania Silverstar zXe halogen H11 bulbs that were in there previously on both cars we own.

I agree. If you have a dremel its 5 min per bulb. I did the conversion about 3 month ago on wife's 2010 and have been very happy with light output. Very similar to my factory HIDs in my 2005. No negatives so far.

IF you have the right tools. In my case, I would have to buy them.

But my main point is that if you are going to the trouble of doing the mod, you may as well get HIDs, which will be brighter yet.

Brighter isn't necessarily better. Below is also posted in your other thread:

HID bulbs are up to 3x brighter than stock halogen bulbs.

The squirrel finder cutouts that allow light above the cutoffs to illuminate overhead signs let out too much glare IMO without modification/elimination for HIDs.

So then you should modify or eliminate the squirrel finder cutouts. Or better yet, since you are installing HID, you should spend the $$$ and do it right with a proper retrofit.

I just order a set of LED Kit for H11 from eBay for $70. This looked like a plug and play type of install. The kit comes with a hood to reduce upward glare/light if you choose to install them. There was a couple good comments about the kit, so I order it to give it a try. I'll let you guys know after I get them and install it in about a week.
