I'm in the market to purchase a Prius 3 this year. I've started doing research and pricing this month, and saw that Toyota is having its annual clearance sale. Prius currently have 0% financing plus $1000 cash back until September 2nd. I was wondering if this is usually Toyota's best incentives for the year? or something par for the course. I was planning to buy the Prius at the end of September, mainly due to new model coming out and end of 3rd quarter, hoping to get a good deal that way. However if this "clearance sale" turns out to be better incentives than what will be offered around end of September, I would rather catch it...

So if those here has been noting incentive trends in the previous years or month, what are your thoughts on the current offering?

    Thank you!

22k cash for a Prius 3 would be a killer deal.

If you want to wait a month to maybe save $100, go for it!

Incentives come...and incentives go. Historically, there hasn't been much, if any, leftover Prius inventory.

If this month's incentive does it's job then inventory is reduced below the target level. That means, when this incentive expires it won't be replaced. If the incentive does not do it's job and inventory is still above the target level then the incentive will continue or increase.

    Do you feel lucky, punk?

If you found the car you want at a fair price, buy it. The current incentive is a bonus. If you really believe sales will be flat and the incentive will be continued or increased then wait. The new incentive won't apply to the car you are looking at now because someone else is going to buy it while you wait. Will you find what you want sitting on the lot later? Maybe. Maybe not.

How close is the selling price of the car to AAA's (TrueCar) buying program? Did you read through Car Buying Guide for New and Used Vehicles | CarBuyingTips.com Is the price of the car higher with the 0% financing?

Prius incentives are $1500 in my area. About 4 months ago they were $2000. It has to be a tough sell for a long in the tooth vehicle design.

Now is the time to buy. The prices will not go down and the inventory will decrease. The end result is the dealers will hold on to what cars they have waiting for the sucker to walk in the door.

It looks like the Toyota website has now been updated to show the 2015 Prius. Biggest change I see this MY is the return of the Persona Edition.
