    Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience having a canoe on their Prius C . I've seen the threads with the regular Prius and canoe racks, but haven't seen any with the Prius C yet.

Any difficulties, recommendations or advice? Thanks in advance! :)

What canoe do you have? length? Mine is a 17-ft Grumman standard.
A couple years ago I broke down and got a 10-ft fishing kayak, so not using the canoe much these days.

Looks like a regular Prius is 14.7-ft and a "c" is 13.1-ft so about 1.5-ft shorter. Gives you some idea.

I actually just traveled ~400 miles with a canoe on my C. Used the following roof rack:

Still felt OK at 65mph and was getting > 43 MPG. I'd make sure you get a roof rack, there aren't a lot of good tie-down points on the under-carraige and I didn't have a good time with the old styrofoam blocks.

I added a set of these just to be extra cautious, though they might not be needed:
