I've been driving my 2010 Prius since 2010 April - my entire mileage log is on fuelly.com
My Prius has so far mainly been trouble free... really no major problems ...
but I have had some minor problems:

    1) scrapped my front air dam on an uneven driveway curb
    2) my passenger side mirror hit a construction cone and had to be replaced
    3) the oil change access door fell off in the middle of the superhighway.
    4) plugging in a second ScangaugeII cause the Prius onboard computer to think something was wrong
    5) the OE tire is suffering from tire rot due to the local polluted air...
    6) the CVT transmission fluid was changed at 51K miles
    7) fixed three flat tires due to road hazards - only one tire has not been repaired.
    8) had to replace the 12vdc power adapter 15a fuse several times - because
every portable car tire compressor that I've tried sofar has cause the fuse to blowup.
    9) some exterior paint nicks due to parking lot minor mishaps

I also had flat tires with the OEM EP20 tires Walter.

More than 40 years with no issues prior to those things. Bad luck I guess, but I couldn't see replacing those OEM tires with another set for that reason, plus, in my case the things had almost no tread left at only 32k. Even as a replacement tire they will not provide any tread life warranty like all other tires aside from snows.

Mine was on the road with me since July '09, and just about 3 weeks ago I had that oil change door problem too. Dealer replaced that whole panel and gave it a wash. Manager took me out into the shop and was pleased looking at my car saying that it looked like it just came off the showroom floor. Not bad for over 5 years and 100k now.

The little 12v air compressor that I have has never blown a fuse... never had to replace one in the car, nor a light bulb due to one burning out. I'd give you the details but it is from a large Canadian parts retailer, sourced from China no doubt, so it wouldn't help I'm afraid.

Think I'll see another 5 or 10 years out of this car without troubles if I don't succumb to the new model coming out.

The 2002 a bit, yes, right before we traded it in.

The 2004, yes, when it's hot, it is quite sluggish, and SOC drops pretty quickly from 4 bars to 2 relative to other parts of the gauge.

I asked the dealer to check it. They scanned for codes, found nothing, and noted I had a ScanGauge attached to the DLC. They said to bring it back if it persisted or got worse. I have 30k and 3 years left in the HV battery warranty, so I'll ensure that if this is a failure, that it is taken care of within that window.

I'm sure it will give you 5 years with little or no problems. Your 2014 has more history behind it and should be better than my 2010 in certain areas.

I'd like to keep the Prius for at least 10 years. This is even including the possibility of replacing the NiMH battery.

Since Sept 09, so 5 years so far, with hopefully another three to go. :)
Apart from having to replace damaged tyres (screw's, nail's, etc) and replacing a cracked windscreen (fitter said it was a stress crack rather than a stone chip), the only thing replaced so far has been the Air Con Condenser....so generally very happy.

I leased a 2012 prius model two in June 2012. Gave it up sadly to buy my house in 2014. I still miss it. Loved the seafoam color too. Did great in the winter. My wife has a 2013 Prius persona, black. Has the bigger 17 inch wheels which look fantastic. Neither car has had any issues.

But it's a dry ... no, wait, West Palm Beach??, that's a wet heat!
Hope your compressor never fails as I understand it is quite expensive to replace.

Wet heat so much so you cut it. Past few days we have had some cloudiness because of Cristobal system nearby.Thankfully...

    Uggh.

Humidity has been high lately with our version of Monsoon season, but the house is 60 - 70F during the day courtesy of cool nights that ventilate the house. AC use this summer ? None. 6000+ feet elevation is such a nice place to live :)

Bought 2011 Prius 3 new just passed 71,000 oil changes , cabin and engine filters , second set of tires nothing else . She sits outside in the northern Illinois weather , last year one morning 38 below zero , wife opens door pushes button starts right up drives to work . My neighbor borrows my jump starter because both of his cars outside don't start . I tell him our Prius did and he says well you got an electric car and kept it plugged in all nite . I proceeded to tell him Toyota did not make the PIP in 2011 and the Prius is not an electric car , he just stood there with his jaw open and neither of his cars started with my starter.

Being from southeast Florida it is amazing to read that this car is not only reliable in very hot weather but also in very cold weather. I am looking forward to summer being over and also hurricane season. Its been to freaking hot down here.

I lived in Miami for 30 years. I left in 97. Yup, the humidity can be brutal.
