I always wondered why the car didn't come stock with a small front lip. I am sure it has to do with the aerodynamics but with the nice rear lip, this really ties it all together. Nicely done! I may steal shamelessly...

Might have better luck posting that question in a G3 thread... this thread is for the G2.

Also check here - they have lots of aftermarket parts: Sigma Automotive :: Accessories that make your car go cleaner, meaner & greener and Aero Parts / Tuning Performance Auto Parts Online Shop - Auto-Style USA - Japan Car Parts JDM Parts

the shipping is awful tho on most of that stuff... :(

I ended up installing one on my E61 and am happy with the results. My original plan was to put one of my girlfriends Prius but there wasn't a solid mounting location that wouldn't look tacky. That Acura ^ is a prime example, that looks terrible in my opinion. This "ez-lip" would install much cleaner if the stock plastic splitter wasn't there but removing that is a step backwards. These can look good if installed with some thought but can look nice person backwards if haphazardly slapped on.

My E61 doesn't have most of the plastic covering below the engine as my wagon is a 535xi but has oem M5 parts and there are simply no panels in existence that fit. This lip offers some visual relief by willing the void, I also intentionally recessed it to make it as subtle as possible, the edges were also tapered to help it visually blend in with the styling of the wagon. I have scraped and knocked it a few times and it holds up great.

You sure take care of that car. It is a 2007 and it looks like a new car.

Not was I was expecting. How much did that cost and why did you do it vs the HD lip?

Nah, still a good newer thread. No Vortex here, just cheap lips.lol. I do however really like the Vortex rear lip they make but can't spending over $300 then paint cost for one.

Your boss has spoken, and you're asking here, lol?

FWIW, I think she's right. Keep in mind, if she's driving it mostly, she can make it go away, one curb at a time...

I did it bc it helps me gauge when my bottom is about to scrape the curb. Also to help deflect some air from the under body towards and around the wheels like the volt to increase mpg. i haven't driven long enough without it to compare. but this is the replacement valence which is about 1 to 2" Shorter than the one that comes with the volt. Cost was 40ish. The hd lip looks too tacky to me. With the way it is positioned and installed, after enough scraping with the floor, its gonna be bent out of alignment and ruin the appearance. The volt skirt has less chance of that, and the rubber i feel can hand more scraping before it starts to look funky

I'm diggin the EZ Lip Pro version because its larger and claims its stronger and has that tape hider. I just did my side skirts using some off eBay,it's ok but the EZ lip brand would look better on mine. Pics to come soon.

Wowzers... I won a EZ lip from their site after doing a quick survey. Going to use it as an experiment to see if it improves MPG. I've been measuring my MPG for months now and will either swap my side skirts out with this larger one and use one of my old lips on my dads unmodified prius to see if gives any again. Will keep posted with the data. First impress is these lips are 10x better than the homedepot or generic ebay ones.

    Comparing to my current setup 20150612_181256.jpg 20150612_181256.jpg 20150612_181341.jpg 20150612_181352.jpg

Looks awesome! If there's any aero advantage to mileage, it will be almost negligible at city driving. For highway, there could be a bit more as long as you're still in the sweet spot. Right tires, tire pressure, and driving technique will still be the main factor. :)
