Neither our Prius or Honda are garaged and Collinite #476s has provided the best durability of any product I've used in the past several years.

Looks like its just one application? How easy is the "wax on wax off" aspect? What kind of durability? Shine longevity or protection against bug splats?

A thin application provides the same longevity as a liberal coating and makes removal very easy. I reapply every six months but it will provide up to a year of protection. Adding a quick detailer to the mix will provide easy removal of bugs, sap and road scum. I use Finish Kare #425 for a quick weekly wipe down, it maintains a super slippery surface. With this combination you only need to rinse with water, dry, and follow with a quick spray and wipe of FK 425.

check out Chemical Guys. I use a 1,700psi pressure washer and a foam cannon. i would highly recommend using a clay bar, polish (optional) with a DA, then glaze, jet seal, wax and your done. There soap is very good. I stopped using all of the other brands; turtle wax, mothers, mcguires, etc. ditto for the car soap. for stripping the wax you can use dawn liquid soap. Zaino is also a very good product but i haven't used it in 10 years...

Meguairs NXT is awesome for darker colored cars. On a light colored car, would be hard to see if you covered everything or buffed out everything. Depending on the color of your car and area you're washing your car is also a factor in deciding a good wax for you.

I live in an apartment building where you can't wash/wax/fix/mod your car. And I have a light colored car. I prefer using Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Ice. Goes on nicely and you can can go over lights, plastics and rubber with no problems. It'll also work in the shade and sun, any time of day. Probably the easiest for me to use because you can put on anything and not worry about dodging areas.

There's a warning somewhere in the Owners Manual to not wax the head lights. I've spilled over onto the headlight when waxing, with no ill effects, but I wouldn't purposely wax them.

Well with the liquid ice, it's not a problem. One of the reasons I use it because i dont have to dodge anything and gets my black plastics/rubbers dark black. My other car has a clear bra over the whole front, including the lights. I also liquid wax that too, cause it's a white car. I use on license plate and the frame too. I say, might as well... :)

But dont get me wrong, the Meguiar's NXT is awesome... but on a dark car (my opinion) so I'm able to see what I hit and missed. And if I had an area where I can spend a couple hours cleaning the car. But I can't at my apartment complex. Liquid wax is clear bra friendly too.
