I imagine Toyota doesn't want them sold out of California because they are made because of a California law requiring so many 0 emissions vehicles for every manufacturer, I'm sure each RAV4 electric is sold at a loss. Toyota only wants to make as many as they have to.

what do you use for charging? do the numbers you see for charge time match the specs? Do the RAVs get the same OEM charge link we get for the PiP?

    nice car

I agree, it's not much like a Tesla, except for the range. I'm not sure why they didn't do this with a Prius instead.

I'd probably carry a portable generator with me if I were going out of town.

Ya, I can imagine an all electric car wouldn't make a lot of sense for you up there where there is probably a long trek between towns.

It came with the same 110 evse as my PIP had.

I also have the Leviton 40a 240v wall charger for the Rav. Seems to charge slightly quicker than the specs, it adds about 25 miles of range per hour of charge. I've never run it empty, but I'd guess it could charge in about 4.5 hours or so.

If I drove and EV I wouldn't test the limits of the pack either....
I'd love to get a look at the gauges you have :)

If you were getting 18-20 from a PiP and you're now getting 4.9 miles/Kwh , I'm pretty sure your driving style could be described as : SLOW. How else can someone achieve those numbers?

I agree that 18-20 consistently is high at least for me, although I've gotten 19 in the PiP several times already this summer and I average around 14 mi ev

But, is there something wrong with going slow or slower then most others on the road, especially at the red lights?
Maybe it's a difference in hybrid culture, and there's always hybrid racing if there's a need to go faster or keep up with the other cars around.

    Just pointing out the obvious.
But as some say, "Nothing wrong with slow".
But it's only the slow that would say something like that.
It's not a technique that gets you great EV numbers. It's SLOW.

Again...you know how much all of us hang on your every word. Thank you for being here.

Actually...all sarcasm aside...you are about as well liked here as the school bully is. Maybe wording your posts differently may change that.
