Acceleration/ev bug

    The benefit of ECO is significant in the winter. Don't dismiss/overlook how it adjusts the coolant threshold.

    I for one like the ECO setting and that is where my car stays 100% of the time - for exactly the reason you indicate. I just like having a less sensitive pedal. Do I think it is worth a button and an indicator light? No, but I prefer driving this way overy the normal setpoint. Of course, in my world, I'd be able to tweak all those settings from a PC according to my preference. I don't know why I can set up things like the color choices on the info screen and whatnot, but I needed to buy a special tool to turn off the idiot reverse beep and can't ever tweak my throttle and regen profile. Keep in mind that none of that would change the allowable operating envelope of the system, just change the mapping to make it easier to drive how I want to drive, which is what stupid buttons are sort of trying to do. Grrr.

    It's too bad you can't turn off the pedal changes, just have the other changes. Maybe a hack? I tried living with the extra pedal travel, just couldn't abide it.

    What's that? Is there a list of settings changed by the 3 buttons? I know that ECO affects the A/C and pedal response and cruise control tolerates larger decrease from set speed... but then tries to make up too aggressively.

    Things I'd like to see a button for
    1. Adjustable regen braking from zero to ferocious
    2. Allow more battery assistance and therefore provide more capacity for regen, say before a long downhill
    3. Set a wide pedal stop for glide
    I haven't done a proper translation or found any reviews, but this 'glide controller' might have some extra settings. 新滑空エコグライダー プリウス.プリウスα|株式会社ミラリード

    It adjusts the coolant threshold, which allows the heater to continue to run longer before the engine starts back up again.

    I let my Prius warm up until it shuts the ICE off, about 1 minute 15 seconds. Really helps with my 3 mile commute, 40mpg on average on that 3 miles. Bought Prius for my wife's increasing commute, then she got laid off.
