    a lot seems to depend on the asphalt. the newer formulations are much quieter.

    I did that three months ago, a 2014 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring. No regrets.

    Primacy MXV4 tires quieted Prius considerably, and made cornering tighter. Best tires I've ever had. Amazing in rain, too. No complaints in snow either.

    I bought a new Avalon. It has those tires on it. I like them a lot. Very quiet. No noticeable road noise. Handles good. Can't beat Michelins to my opinion.
