Prius won't start, but acts like it wants to. Ready Light Flashes

    I have a 2005 Toyota Prius that I am trying to start and just won't start. I checked the fuses in underneath the steering wheel, and next to the inverter. I replaced the 12v battery. Now I am getting a bunch of codes which I believe are leading to a bad inverter. I have attached a picture of the codes I am getting as well as a Youtube video of the start showing Ready flashing but not starting. Any help would be appreciated.

    As you can read from the code descriptions, this points to an inverter issue.
    What happened prior to the codes appearing? Any other issues?

    Nothing at all. Tried to start it in the morning, and absolutely no juice. Hooked up a jump pack and the car wouldn't power on, but powered accessories on. Changed 12V, and same symptoms.

    So prior to this incident the car was working fine? When was the last time it was actually driven without any warning lights on?

    If you want to figure this out you are going to have to do some high voltage measurements. What voltage do you measure at the inverter, where the traction battery cables connect.

    If you don't have good voltage there, like around 220VDC, then inspect the orange traction battery interlock switch which may not be properly secured. Measure the resistance across that interlock and that will confirm whether the fuse within that switch has popped. Perhaps one of the three system main relays within the traction battery case is not working.

    If you do have good high voltage DC at the inverter, then the inverter may in fact have failed. But before you replace it you should confirm that it is being supplied with the correct voltage from the traction battery.

    is you're inverter pump working? have you had the trouble codes read?

    Walepoleauto, perhaps it may also help some of the senior members to better diagnose your vehicle if you posted some of the sub codes, particularly for P0A78.

    It could be the battery relays as Patrick suggests or it could be the fuse in the service plug. It definitely sounds like the inverter isn't getting power.
