Anyone seen or know about this code? Can't find any info on it anywhere? Saw it come up multiple times with my own eyes. 2007 Touring

    Thanks-

Did you pull these codes w/ an OBD2 reader or mini VCI Techstream Cable?

    Haynes book says:
P0AFA = Hybrid Battery System Voltage Low

    Troubleshoot these areas:
    • Junction block assembly (busbar module)
    • No. 2 frame wire (busbar and wire harness)
    • Battery ECU

Toyota issued a T-SB-0166-09 where they recommend that the traction battery ECU and hybrid vehicle ECU need to be replaced if that DTC appears, if the battery block voltages read 0V per Techstream and the DTC cannot be reset. This is covered under the 8 year/100K mile hybrid system warranty.

There are no letter O's in the DTC structure.

    Correct.

The first character will be a letter, typically P for power train, C for chassis, and B for body are the most common. The last four characters are hexadecimal so that means the possible range is 0 - 9 and A - F.

We've seen this code on two vehicles. Both were Camrys. Discovered the sensor tab under the ground wire broken. Replaced the Wire Frame on both vehicles and fixed the problem. By the way, both cars ran well with all the lights on but the code will not reset.

Which ground wire are you talking about? I'm having this issue as well.

I don't have pictures, but the traction battery ECU is in the battery case and the hybrid vehicle ECU is behind the glove compartment next to the engine ECU. I suggest that you should find those items and determine their part numbers so that you can buy the correct used parts to replace those.
