I liked my C so much, but after 125k miles, it is just too small, so I bought a 2012 Prius v (lowercase v for Prius v), and modified it to look like my C. I love the color Habenero, so I had my v painted. I tried to duplicate the front bumper look as well. I also had the tail lights painted on the side, and smoked in the back. I did the side and rear debadge of the ugly hybrid logos. Also, I didnt like the red reflectors on the rear bumper of the v, so I had them deleted. I had the OEM JDM LED headlights on my C which came with the black housing, so I took apart the headlights of the v, and painted the inside housing black. I also added the LED DRL blinkers in the front with the smoked cover, and had the front and rear Toyota emblem deleted, and replaced with a black decal. And, of course the Drag DR31 wheels with Habenero lip and center caps. Shark fin and tinted windows were a must to complete the project, and I am really happy with how everything turned out. I just have to have the clear bra installed, and then I will put my Prius C up for sale. I will post this in the main v and C forums as well so everyone can have a look!

You do know that you have violated a few sections of the Calif Vehicle code.

yep, i've done these mods to pretty much every car I've ever owned, its a risk I'm willing to take, been caught a few times, just fix it, get it signed off, and mod it right back!

    That's the spirit! :)

I like the blacked out headlight housing. Something that I've been itching to do.

And one last thing, I don't know how you're able to live with yourself by getting rid of the factory finish! That's something I wouldn't be able to do, it's hard getting that perfect paintjob.

Well, I bought it used, and it had lots of dings, scratches, etc.... had to replace the front bumper and do lots of minor body work, they did a really good job, it was in the shop for 7 weeks, it looks as close to factory without being factory!

Yes it does but this is a rather extreme step few buyers would take; how many would spend the extra money to try to make a V look like a C? It's your car, man and it turned out great but that's a lot of money to indulge a whim. Not criticizing though; you likely have the most unique V bar none!
