I am looking into purchasing a, set of seat covers and i have narrowed dow to the leather clazzios sold on the prius chat store for $449 or a set of coverking ballistic seat covers for $425. What i want to know is how durable are the clazzios? The balistic seat covers are supposed to be the most durable covers coverking sells. one of the reasons i need seat covers is because my full grow german shepard will ride in the car and i want to protect the seats as best as i can.

The coverking neoprene seat covers are on sale at COSTCO.com currently for under $300 front and rear sets.

I just saw the Clazzios on display at To Go Before, the second annual national Prius convention, this weekend. They were very nice looking (especially the custom ones with contrasting insets for the seats and Prius emblem blue-colored over stitching) and were quick to install and closefitting. If you keep your shepherd's nails well trimmed and he doesn't launch into or out of the car, I'd say they'd be great.

Our shepard is real well behaved but we havnt kept her nails trimmed so that may be a problem. She wont be in there much and i would prefer the clazzios but im scared that they wont last that long because we take several 700+ mile road trips yearly with her. If any one has a GSD they know that these dogs dont like to stay put for that long.

I ordered from Clazzio on Saturday at the Convention. I have 4 bichons who are in and out of the back seat constantly (walks at beach, park, field, daily, sometimes twice a day). I got the PVC, not the leather, after talking with Rodney from Clazzio (he was there) about dogs.

I can tell you the Clazzio includes 2 pieces for between the front seats, and the drop down in the rear seat. I can't tell from the web page is this is true for coverking.

With the 3 options of Coverking, leather would be my choice, the other 2 wouldn't hold up with dogs.

With that (leather) you have one solid color. With the Clazzio PVC, I got the 2 tone, black / red. Their PVC comes with a double line of stitching, which is going to hold up better than piping.

Does anyone have pictures of the pvc only clazzios? Is it the same pvc material as the clazzios with the leather insert?
