smoke tail light what you think ???

    Um... no it doesn't eliminate anything. I just smokes them out a little... hence the name. A true black out can make it harder to see, but it's still visible, depending on the level of blackout. I've seen a few that are extremely hard to see.

    Reduced visibility, eye-level glare from a low sun, dirty lenses...

    All a good recipe for losing a lawsuit.

    Agreed and I'm not disputing that... except maybe the glare... the chrome on the OEM lights has got to be worse.

    Yeah, you're right... chrome is less reflective than paint.

    I see more failure to use turn signals than dangerously obscured ones. DRL are in the front and not affected by smoked tail lights. Brighter bulbs are available for all uses.

    The Prius c has an array of center stop lights on the spoiler that is plenty bright. Smoking the tails in no way affects this.

    I'm not interested in putting myself in harm's way and have satisfied myself that my smoked tails do not materially increase danger to myself or others.
