Hi. Recently I changed the 12 volt battery of my Prius 2012. Now the Energy Monitor arrows are missing. When the car is moving there is not arrows displaying. The only thing that appears is the battery charging, I can see when is low and full, but thats it. How can I turn on the animation?

This one is a new one on me. What battery was it replaced with? Have you tried disconnecting the battery again for 15 min and reconnecting again? When you disconnected and reconnected did you use this sequence? "Neg, then pos. Connecting: poz then neg?"

The 12 volt battery was replaced in a Toyota Dealer. I don't use the Energy Monitor when I'm driving. I like to use the Hybrid System Indicator. I only use the Energy Monitor sometimes when I want to check if the engine is on etc... But I'm worry that the car is not working properly if I don't see the arrows. It was working fine before my 12 volt battery ran out. I search in the Internet and read some people with the same problem but didn't find the answer.

Today I check the Energy Monitor display in the audio screen an also have the same problem. The battery appears to charge but I donĀ“t see the energy flow, the red and green animation. The other display options are working fine, in the dash and in the audio screen.

Take it back to the dealer and show them.

You can use the audio head unit to display the energy monitor too. I think she means that both sets of the displays have the same issue.

I'm going to disconnect the battery myself to see if it works.

I recently purchased a 2011 Prius Three, not III, and since I was not aware of the arrows animation, I bought the vehicle without knowing of this feature.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have done multiple searches and cannot find the solution to fix it.

    Thanks for the help.

You reach all the displays by cycling through the Display button on the steering wheel. Did your car come with an owner's manual or quick reference guide?

Display steering button cycles through all the screens and all the displays seem to be working fine and collecting data. Only the arrow animation seems to be broken. The wheels in the Prius car display screen moves, but the arrows do not even show up. Like they are invisible. Tested screen brightness and that did not work either.

Were you able to fix it? I changed my battery last week and had the same problem.
