Exhaust Gas Temperature

    Can anyone tell me the temperature of the exhaust gases coming out of the 1NZ-FXE engine. And also if there is any EGT(Exhaust Gas Temperature) sensor attached to the Prius exhaust system or the engine itself.

    The only sensors are at the catalytic converters and these can be read by the Mini VCI, or with Priidash. The actual temperature will depend on many factors including engine load and rpm. Ignition timing also plays a large part in exhaust temperature.
    In the Priidash screen below you can see cat one is at 395c and cat two is at 206c. These will not be maximum temperatures.
