We all get the cover to hide anything in the hatch trunk, but are there solutions out there to cover the entire section behind the front seat if the backseats are folded down?

Are you talking about a "raised" cover? Like the hatch cover?

Because if so, there is no commercially available product that I know of...

I suppose you could possible make something. But that is a lot of horizontal elevated space to try to cover. I don't think it would be easy.

Not worth the effort to me.
If I have something in the back with the seats folded down? That for some reason I want covered...I use Mr. Tarp...or Blanket-O-Matic.

Kind of a neat product, but I don't think that is what the OP is talking about.

I think he is looking for something akin to the hatch cover....to hide anything below it.
Not something to line the interior. A cover..not a liner.

I don't know of any commercial product, but it might not be too hard to somehow attach a large window shade to the removable cross-bracket for the cargo area cover. Some straps could then be added to the shade pull-down. When the shade is pulled out, the straps could be wrapped around the headrests on the front seats to hold it out. Another option would be to attach some hooks and straps to a custom-cut tarp or blanket. When in use, the hooks would attach one end to the cross-bracket and the straps on the other end would wrap around the headrests.

Not practical (or commercially attractive) to make a roll-out cover that big. Use a blanket.

Same thing applies to the hatch floor tray: flip down the seats and you've now got only half the floor covered. Use a blanket from the get go and you don't have a problem. Just use one big enough that it can scrunch up when the seats are up, spread out when they're flipped forward.

    Need waterproof? Tarp time. ;)

I keep a 72" x 80" Harbor Freight Mover's Blanket in the back of my car. I use it doubled over as a base to protect the folded down seats when carrying building materials, but it's big enough to cover the entire load if necessary. [IMG]

I bought a $9 roll of carpet from a local auto parts store and keep it in the back of my car. When I haul gallons of filtered drinking water, camping equipment, my dog, etc. I simply roll it out and over from the back hatch well to over the top of seats down tot he floor.

If it gets wet it dries quickly. If it gets dirty I take it, give it a shake or a brush and it's clean again.
