Motor reving to 3k-4k but not moving

    I agree, that's what it sounded like to me too.

    Not sure what you mean by power split device (planetaries?) but unless MG1 is energized you can see from the video the engine will rev with no connection to the rest of the drivetrain. In the video he simulates this (energizing) by putting his hand on MG1 to stop it from rotating.

    That’s what I did mean. Yes power split device is the planetary gear set. I did only say that to correct the “since there are no mechanical connections between the wheels and the motor itself” since there is. Power just can’t be transmitted if MG1 can rotate freely.

    G9200-47100 I think this is the Pn the 2004-2009 use the same part but for some reason the Part number did change around 2006 or 07. It is the large Silver part on the oppisite side of the ICE that stamped on it Hybrid Synergy Drive.

    Yup, that's the inverter. Very rare to fail, and can be found on eBay for about $250.

    I had thought the dealer had just replaced a "sensor" for the inverter, but they replaced the whole thing as they do. No repairs here, just replace.
