And pushing that button activates some sort of vapor recovery mechanism, and only after that system is happy will it release the fuel door. Part of the emissions requirements on this side of the pond. A whole lot more than a simple solenoid.

I assure you it's very simple. It's a push button switch with 4 pins, 2 are for the led in the switch and 2 are common when the button is pressed. When it's pressed the switch sends a ground signal to the solenoid.

I know because i just installed them in my Rav 4 EV.

Fuel button on the Rav 4 EV?? The Rav4 EV is a BEV. I thought that the issue we were discussing is the gasoline fuel door. There obviously wouldn't be a "vapor recovery" issue on a vehicle that does not use liquid fuel. I know that there is more going on on the PiP than a simple solenoid, since there are messages on the multipurpose display when you push the "fuel" button. (I am not trying to act like a wise-guy; I am just trying to understand the issues.)

Dude read the very first post of this thread. I just wanted the parts so I could put them in my Rav EV.

But I think you are wrong about it being part of some complex system. It is literally just a momentary push button switch and a basic solenoid. You should'nt be spreading rumors unless you actually know for a fact.

As for these parts, they are very basic. ALL THEY DO IS POP OPEN A DOOR! LOL!!! Anyone could add these parts to any vehicle!
