The vinyl cutting was as simple as it gets. I used a Mason jar wide mouth lid for the circular pattern and cut around it with a sharp hobby knife. Measured the approximate length I wanted the cutoffs with a ruler, cut the edges off the vinyl circles and applied them to the lens. Total time from start to finish, less than 20 minutes. The vinyl I've had around for a while after wrapping my Civic's dash.

Military style blackout light. The possible inspiration for the fog light mod post earlier.

It was the image below(LED fog light for a Prius v on Amazon) that got the smoke coming out of my ears.

Didn't you find that the oem foglight lenses are oval shaped rather than round though? They are wider than they are tall.
Seems it would be much easier to mask a horizontal section on the lenses, then apply several coats of Plastidip. I could even match the foglight shrouds to the foglight masking color. :)

I used what I had available here at home.
The shape of the lens is closer to circular on the set I have installed, with a slightly convex lens shape. The jar lid I used as a template, is larger than the lens dimensions by 3/16", so the excess vinyl material stretched easily into the recessed edges, after running the fog lights a few minutes to warm the lens.

Spraying with Plastidip, near the lower grill area, would be a nightmare for me to remove the overspray. Having a case of OCD, I would go nuts just masking the area. It took me a total of 20 minutes to locate the tools, materials and complete the project. Getting a can of Plastidip would be a 20-25 minute drive off the mountain, just to begin the project. :)

Truthfully, who's going to notice the difference between vinyl and Plastidip when this is approaching?

Yea I hear Ya know the OCD. I wrapped my fog lights with lens vynal and used a jar lid and anything else I thought was the size of the lens. It was still a nightmare to put on with out taking the fogs off the car to cover the whole light like I wanted. Once I did them I still wasent satisfied because I had a few wrinkles because the lens isn't flat. So I went to a friend's house and put the car in his lift and took the fogs off and did Alot of pulling and stretching on the lense vynal to keep it wrinkle free!

I began the conversion to turn signal LED's, from VLEDS, with the addition of an electronic LED flasher and converted the rear turn signals to platinum amber LED's(yeah, I know, do the easy ones first). :) The changing of the flasher unit took more time than I expected, so the front turn signals will have to wait until another day when I have more time.

I installed the shark fin antenna, and finally put gas in the car. $27 got me 485 miles. This is the coolest thing ever.

I'll take some pictures when it's not 8PM and pitch black outside.

Google some prius driving tips, may help get more mpg :) I live in Hawaii so it's a little more expensive more like 37$ to fill up here. But my driving range is 540-560 miles to a tank.

Thanks, will do - I've been getting used to the ECO mode and using the HUD for feedback, but most of my driving is freeway so I'm not sure how high I can reasonably expect the mileage to get. My other vehicle is an old station wagon and filling up is closer to $70 every 300 miles!

LOVE these. Can you provide any info on the kit? Did the small square lights come along with the bigger ones in the fog light location? Cost? Easy enough for someone without automotive wiring experience to do on their own? Looking good.

They are two different sets of lights. The fog light kit cost about $300. The two square drl's cost about $100. Wiring is simple you can refer to several threads here.
