The headlight housings on my 2006 Prius had gotten quite hazy. Bought the 3M kit no. 39045 at an auto parts store for $27. Instructions recommended using only a drill that turns 1200-1600 rpm. My plug-in drill would only turn 850 rpm but decided to use it anyway. Kit instructions say to thoroughly dry sand with discs of three different grits with finer and finer grit, then to use the drill to apply polishing compound, then to apply 3M synthetic wax coating using a microfiber cloth. Took about three hours total, about 30 minutes of running the drill on each housing. Results were very good, the plastic is now sparkling clear.

I used toothpaste and a rag. Worked well for me.

I used the $10 wipe new product sold in walmart with good results on my daughter's van. Months later it still looks good too.

I used the 3M kit recently on my 2013 Prius Two with great results.

My question: Anybody think this might work on the rear spoiler? Like many others, mine looks terrible. But I am thinking it also looks a lot like oxidation. So maybe ....

I may pop for another 3M kit and try it -- probably can't make it worse than it looks now. But I figured I'd ask first. Thanks.
