Dealer Problems with oil Changes

The reusable filter cap is a mandate in Europe in order to reduce the amount of steel and other metals, as well and trapped used oil going to landfills.

There had been recycling programs for spin on filter cartridges, but very few used spin on filters were recycled.

If the OP did not check, the dealer would NOT have likely reported the missing cartridge with a subsequent oil change.

That's another reason to do your own oil changes, if you are able to.
